About This Course
Egocentric video captures the world from a first-person perspective - showing hands, objects, attention and movement as they happen. This type of footage is used to train AI, robotics, spatial computing and assistive technologies, where realistic human interaction with the physical world matters. In this course, you’ll learn how professional egocentric data collection works from start to finish: how to read a task brief, choose and vary recording scenarios, set up a head-mounted camera, frame your hands and objects correctly, and capture natural, continuous footage. You’ll also learn the privacy, quality and compliance rules behind every successful submission - including what gets footage rejected, how to self-review your work, and how to apply standards during real collection tasks. By the end, you’ll understand not just what to record, but how to record it correctly and consistently.
